1-Day Autumn Qi-Gong and Meditation
Autumn Health Preservation Qigong: Nourish the Lungs and Calm the Body and Mind
Service Description
In autumn, Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches us to “gather and nourish.” As nature begins to turn inward, autumn is a season for slowing down, regulating the breath, and preparing the body and mind for the quieter months ahead. This gentle and restorative day is dedicated to nourishing your Lung Qi – traditionally associated with healthy breathing, vitality, the skin and immune defenses, and our ability to release what we no longer need. You’ll learn: The healing Lung sound “Si” (呬) to support the release of tension, grief, and emotional heaviness Gentle autumn Qigong movements to open the chest, expand the lungs, and encourage the smooth flow of Qi Breathing practices designed to deepen and regulate the breath while calming the nervous system Traditional ways to protect the lungs and body from autumn dryness and seasonal changes Nourishing autumn teas you can easily make at home (recipes included) Feel open, grounded, calm, and quietly energized as you move with the natural rhythm of autumn – gently gathering your energy inward while letting go of unnecessary tension. Students can receive one-on-one guidance from Master Hai (Winnie). These practices are also well suited for experienced meditators who want to go deeper by experiencing TCRC's unique use of yoga postures, Qigong, and breathwork as catalysts for profound and sustained states of effortless meditation. Retreats are offered on a sliding scale.
